Primary & Special Schools

Kent primary schools first used the Internet in 1985 for international email projects. In 1998, Kent provided every primary and special school with an Internet connected laptop computer and DfES made Kent an ICT Pathfinder authority.  KCN now provides broadband to over 483 primary and special schools and aims to connect every Kent school.

Kent Community Network (KCN) provides broadband connectivity to every part of Kent including coastal areas such as Deal and Sheppey, rural areas such as the Weald of Kent and towns.
