Once you have signed up to the EIS Remote BackUp Service, it’s simply a question of selecting the servers, laptops, desktops plus the actual data that you want to protect and backup. The first backup will take place and a copy of all your data is sent to our datacentre. When the first backup is completed, RBUSS scans for changes that have happened since the last backup. Only the changes are compressed and encrypted and then transferred to us. Each morning our technicians will check your backup status and in the unlikely event of a problem, alert you if we need to take any additional action. The Ben Johnson School in Tower Hamlets recently experienced a complete loss of a computer holding SIMS and other critical data used daily by staff and pupils.
