This extra service will enable your teaching staff to concentrate on teaching and learning in the classroom, while we take care of the day-to-day issues that might compromise the efficient use of your admin and curriculum ICT systems.
The service enables schools to have regular scheduled visits ranging from a half a day a month up to a day a week. The level of service required will be determined by the size / complexity of your system, level of existing available expertise in school and budget.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the same technician undertakes these regular visits but this cannot be guaranteed in all instances. The benefit of this is that the EIS Technician will get to know your system and set-up, so that solutions are not just technically viable but are suited to your mode of working.
This service will enable schools to increase the usability of their ICT facilities at reasonable cost but should not be seen as a replacement for other EIS support contracts which provide high level technical / SIMS support.
This service will also allow a more consistent approach to such matters as Health & Safety, Asset Management and Recording.
What might the visits involve?
- Station Rebuilds
- Basic fault finding and rectification
- Desktop customisation
- Configuring PCs for Internet access
- Advice of system security and data protection
- Moving / connecting printers
- Installation / upgrades of software including routine SIMS upgrades
- Updating/upgrading of anti-virus software
- Minor PC component upgrading
- Testing backup systems and test restore/checking backup logs
