Free KLZ Workshops - This Summer
We invite you to our forthcoming FREE half day workshops taking place across the county

Friday 7 June 2013, 13:00 to 16:30 - Edenbridge
Tuesday 2 July 2013,13:00 to 16:30 - Maidstone
These workshops are FREE for KLZ contract customers to attend and aimed at KLZ Users and Administrators.

Windows 8
But which version should you be using?
Windows 8 was launched on 26 October 2012 and comes in four versions:
- Windows 8 – Consumer level
- Windows 8 Pro – Business use
- Windows 8 Enterprise – Similar to Pro with additional features
- Windows RT – ARM-based devices.
The initial release of Windows 8 tablets will use the RT version. This means these tablets will have a limited functionality on a typical school network.
EiS Kent advise schools to go for the Windows 8 Pro version as this will allow domain connectivity and PC management. Read more ...
Please Note: Although it is still to be ratified, Capita Children’s Services who provide SIMS, will not support Windows 8 Pro until April/May 2013.
If you are thinking of purchasing Windows 8 or ARM-based devices you may find it useful to contact us before making your final decision.
