Improvement to Validation and Summary Report Ref: 09-EM60

For the attention of SIMS System Manager\Staff who will be completing Autumn 2009 School Census.

Improvement to Validation and Summary Report

The DCSF has supplied new Validation files for the Autumn 2009 School Census. These files are required to ensure the Census generates in the expected manner. Capita have now finished their testing and have packaged these files for import via Tools | Setups | Import Fileset. The Fileset package is available as a download from our website

Only one workstation needs to carry out the import to make them available to all workstations, as the files will be stored within the Document Management Server.

These files can be found on the EIS Website at www.eiskent.co.uk by clicking on the ‘School Census’ button and they will be found in the link to ‘Urgent Common Issues’. Right click on the file 0016-SchoolCensusAutumn2009-UpdateFileset.mfs and choose Save Target As and browse to a location where you wish to save this file and click on the Save button.

Open SIMS and use the route Tools | Setups | Import Fileset in SIMS and browse to the location where you saved the file and click on the Import Fileset button.

EIS would be grateful if this information could be passed on to the Staff responsible for completing the Autumn 2009 School Census. This import should be carried out as soon as possible.
